Help Us Save Our Home

21433079_10155710069993147_3271426925738960621_n

This has been a 10-year battle to save our home from bank fraud. A battle that our lawyer believes we can win… The court has set the nominal undertaking at $7200 and that is hard for me to personally do on my own right now. As many of you know I am being a single mom and have disabilities due to an accident I had in 2001 that damaged my back and my neck. This has been our home for 13 years and really the only home my three youngest have known. So far the court has stopped the sale of our home 4 times and then ordered this stay on the foreclosure sale, but as per the law set this moderate undertaking required by law
when someone applies as a poor person to wave the fees for the filings. If they had set this as a monthly payment, I could have done this alone, but since they asked me to do a one lump sum, it’s far harder for me given my income and needing to pay bills.

Any funds raised would be used for this purpose and if we do not meet this goal, all money raised will be used for us to quickly find a new home as the house will be sold very soon. I have prayed and I am praying for answers and for a miracle. This last 3 year has been very hard on the children and I as we fight for our home and face losing it. Many of you already know our story over the years, but those of you who are new may not. Its been a struggle, but one I am not about to give into, to do so would be to me showing a lack of faith. All I know is my God is Able and I am standing…

I am and will always be thankful to anyone who is able to help us with this or our moving if this isn’t stopped.

You may donate personally by using my PayPal faithfulacres7@gmail.com

Thank you for your love to us, words are not enough sometimes to express
how I feel and have felt over the years to those of you who have prayed and walked this out with me… Some have been such a blessing and encouragement in word and deed the last 10 years

Thank you
Linda

“We All Make Mistakes”

“We All Make Mistakes”

Porch lights. They mark the night with their white-yellow glow. Some beckon. Some warn. Some burn to protect those on the inside from the shadows that lurk on the edges of the darkness.
For some, their porch lights shine like the star of hope against a cobalt sky. They bathe the night with their light and wash the sleeping home with quiet. All is well. All is bright.
There are a handful of porch lights that will never go out. They can’t. They went on one evening when that son or daughter stormed out into the thickness and blackness of the cold. The door slammed. The feet pounded across the wooden planks of the porch and then disappeared beyond the light’s half circle.
It’s been a long time. For some, months. Others, years. There are a few who have put a decade of running between them and that porch light. The prayers on the inside haven’t stopped. The hope might have fainted and faltered a few times, but it’s still there.
That’s why the light still burns…….and will keep burning. It’s a God thing. It’s a Redeemer thing. Grace-based homes are not homes without sin or regrets. They are just homes where, no matter what, you can’t be written off. They are homes where young and restless hearts are free to be different, vulnerable, and candid. They’re allowed to make mistakes. Huge ones sometimes. But because grace is inside, the front porch light will always glow outside.
Regardless of why they left, they can always come back. Regardless of where they went, they can always come home. And regardless of what they did, they can always come in.”

Review

I know that many parents are looking for books that really catch their children’s eye and are appealing.  From the moment we opened the box we were intrigued. The beautiful cover had a sparkle and shine that would be very appealing to children.  Each story showing a swirl of light where the Holy Spirit of God had come to those in the story, this let the children know that God was with those who lived during this time.  ( I explained that to the kids before reading to them, as seen above. )  As a Christian parent, I want my children to know when God was present with those we are reading about in the Bible. Sometimes it is not so apparent when just reading to small children from a regular bible and they may miss and not understand that God is ever with us and his Spirit is there to help, guide, comfort and praise those living according to the Word.

My Thoughts on this book…

A Widow’s Hope is a sweet and touching story of a young widow and her handicapped son and also a story about a young man who bears his own scars of his parent’s death. Though these two know each other from their past, they hardly thought they would see each other again. Will pain keep them from finding love? or will all the hurt from the past keep them apart?

I really liked the characters in this story, especially Hannah’s mother who seems to have some wisdom about things and is looking out for what is best for Hannah. Being a mom I can relate to her and her wanting to see her daughter not grieving for too long over the death of her husband. Also for her and her husbands love for Hannah and her son who now live with them.

This story touched my heart as I was/am grieving the loss of two of the most spiritual men in my life. Grief is not always hard to go through and letting go of the past and forging a new future is hard. Doing it with children seems even harder, though they are more resilient and more accepting of new things at times.

I believe anyone who is dealing with loss, grief or who deals with a disability would really grow from reading this story. It is a book for everyone in the family to enjoy! Vannetta as always brings us a heartwarming story for all ages. You won’t be disappointed by this first book in her Amish Brides series.

Oh Lissa, Daddy’s Calling…

by Linda Marie Finn

Oh Lissa, can’t you see what is missing… Daddy’s calling out to you to find your way…
Oh Lissa, can’t you hear him…He is begging you to turn and walk away…

Turn away, take a stand… Peace and Contentment doesn’t come from worldly man…
Turn and run to the one who can… give you love like no other can…

Oh Lissa, can’t you can’t you see what’s missing…Daddy’s calling out to you to find your way…
Oh Lissa, can’t you hear him… He is begging you to turn and walk away…

If you stay, they will run you down… Happiness will not be found…
Turn and run…To the one who can… Help you like no other can… Today…

Oh Lissa, can’t you see whats missing… Daddy’s calling out to you to find your way…
Oh, Lissa can’t you hear him… He is begging you to turn and walk away…

So many there to help you, yet they seem to be lacking too…
They lack a real affection and love to follow through…
They are leaving you there to flounder… in satans deceptive web…

Leaving you to wish that you were dead…

Oh Lissa, can’t you see whats missing… Daddy’s calling out to you to find your way…
Oh Lissa, can’t you hear him… He is begging you to turn and walk away…

Come Back Home… To the One Who Cares… Let Him Do What No One Can… Guide you with His Loving Hand…Today!

            For my sweet friend Melissa…
