The Best Dinner I never Ate
By Lori Prentice
The Best Dinner I Never Ate is a true story about our family’s experiences with housing needy families and individuals in our own home. Over the last three years we have had these people live with us temporarily, and for free, so they can have a place to stay while saving up money for their own housing. These experiences have been teaching our family about what is truly necessary in our lives, and what it looks like to show God’s love to others. It has also taught us how making time for loving strangers and going out of our comfort zone can leave a lasting impact on a life.
One particular homeless guest we recently housed encouraged us to publish our story. So far it has been inspiring many in our local community, but we believe in the power of the ripple effect. We believe this lesson can be far-reaching and spread Christ’s message of love and selflessness beyond our small town.
We are very far from a perfect family – each of us is a work in progress in our own way. Though we have many areas where we look to others for inspiration, this is one example of being willing to reach out to the vulnerable, the strangers, and the forgotten, even when it makes life harder on us. Help us share our message of love and hope.
The Proceeds from the sale of this book are going to Victim Services and to help the homeless.
Please get in touch with me about and upcoming Christian book releases.

Another Awesome Giveaway ! Starts March 21st !!!
I will email you , I need your mailing address so I can send your book out !
The winner of the Kindle Fire is number 149…
For liking Stacy Monson on Facebook!
Yes once in a while I join giveaways ! I had been praying for the Lord to bless us with money for another kindle fire , the children and I enjoy reading on the one I had won last year from a contest that Author Julie Lessman and Becky Wade had. I hardly thought I was going to win her giveaway with over 600 entries on rafflecopter. but I did, I had 43 entries and I won !
And last year I also won a kindle paperwhite from Helping Hands Press in their Road Rally Blog Hop ! ( I gave this recently to my Daughter in Love who had just gave birth to my new Grandson, I wanted her to have a way to read books and not have to use the library to get them. I wanted to bless her)
Whats my point in a writing this ?
It has nothing to do with luck.
The bible says that ” He makes it to rain on the evil and the good “.
I thank the Lord each time I win, because I know that It comes from the Lord God !
The other thing you need to remember is this: ” If you don’t enter, You can’t win “
It doesn’t matter how many entries there are , a machine in most cases is going to pick the winning entry. So that one entry you didn’t do, well that may be the one you would have won with.
What you need to enter giveaways ( in most cases)
Your Email address
A Facebook Acct.
A Twitter Acct.
A Pinterest Acct.

In my experience these are the top sites that the Person holding the giveaway uses to give you entries.
My Tips for entering Giveaways !
1. Always go back and do your entries daily( Sometimes I forget)
2. Make sure you read the directions thoroughly.
3. Remember this is for fun !
4. Don’t get bent out of shape if you don’t win !
5. Enter Often on as many giveaways s you can for things you would like to win…
6.If it is something you really need, pray about it and ask the Lord to bless you and your family with it.
7. Do not enter giveaways for things you don’t need, just for the sake of entering !!!
8. Praise the Lord and give Him the Glory when you do Win !
I can’t tell you how many times he has blessed me with something that I could use to better our lives. And remember this ok. The BEST way to support your favorite Authors, Publishers or favorite manufacturers is to Join their giveaways and Share, Tweet, Pin there stuff !!!!

BEATITUDES FOR HOMEMAKERS
Blessed is she whose daily tasks are a work of love; For her willing hands and happy heart transform Duty into joyous service to all her family and God.
Blessed is she who opens the door to welcome both stranger and well- loved friend; for gracious hospitality is a test of brotherly love.
Blessed is she who mends stockings and toys and broken hearts; for her understanding is a balm to her husband and children.
Blessed is she who scours and scrubs; for well she knows that cleanliness is one expression of godliness.
Blessed is she whom children love; for the love of a child is of greater value than fortune or fame.
Blessed is she who sings at her work; for music lightens the heaviest load and brightens the dullest chore.
Blessed is she who dusts away doubt and fear and sweeps out the cobwebs of confusion; for her faith will triumph over all adversity.
Blessed is she who serves with laughter and smiles with every meal; for her cheerfulness is an aid to mental and physical digestion.
Blessed is she who introduces Jesus Christ to her children; for godly sons and daughters shall be her reward.
Blessed is she who preserves the sacredness of the Christian home; for hers is a divine trust that crowns her with dignity. By Ella May Miller
